WHAT IS S.T.Y.L.E. ?
SPOTLIGHT ON TALENT THROUGH YOUTH-LED ENTERTAINEMENT
S.T.Y.L.E. is a 12-week program that focuses on the process of producing a professional industry fashion show through developing budgets, publicity &advertising, coordinating models, and creating staging, choreography, music,and lighting. The end result being a student produced fashion show in which garments submitted by local designers and boutiques will be showcased. As part of their participation in this program, students will improve their organizational, communication,and teamworking skills which are vital necessities for college as well as the working world.
The shows would be entirely “student produced” under the direction and teachings of adept adult facilitators that are professionals within the fashion industry. Production positions would be awarded to qualified students by the head facilitator, and departments would be formed to ensure that all aspects of the show are being covered.
S.T.Y.L.E. seeks to spotlight the individual talents of each student which will make a fashion show an ultimate success. Each student can feel a tremendous amount of satisfaction and self-worth knowing that their talents and efforts were useful as well as appreciated by their peers, school staff, facilitators,and community. | |
